When will the dust settle?

The answer is that it never does. Once you learn a certain life lesson you begin to look at things differently and changing the way you live your life. There are many ways that you can get the dust moving around and one of the best ways that I recently did so was by attending The MASTERY workshop in Vancouver, BC.

The Mastery of Self Expression had a very unique concept that drew me in. It was an intimate weekend that focused on ME! That may sound a bit selfish, but I was used to going to workshops with a few hundred people and I knew that there would be no more than 24 of us.  So, for two and a half full days I committed to attending The Mastery.

For 3 days in early December I embarked on a journey with 20 other participants. I wasn’t sure what I was doing there or what I was trying to accomplish, but something drew me in. What I didn’t know was that my confidence grew, I was seen and heard and I was about to become a better me!

What are you doing on February 14?

Valentine’s Day comes the same day year after year and if you are in a relationship with someone of a long time your presents may be getting stale.

Do you want to try something new and romantic and create a memory that will last a lifetime? If you are located in the Vancouver area and are opening to trying something new it may be time for you to book a session with Under the Piano.

Craig Addy, the owner, says, “When you crawl under my grand piano and nestle amongst opulent quilts and cushions you are treated to 45 minutes of piano improvisations. You are surrounded by the music and cocooned by the sound. Your entire body is bathed by sound vibrations. An Under the Piano session is akin to having a massage, only in this case, sound vibrations are doing the massaging. You also get to enjoy your very own personal concert and a remarkably relaxing and healing experience. The experience affects you mentally, emotionally and physically.”

Oh! The Places You'll Go!

A poem to inspire you. Read. Live. Be.

Oh! The Places You'll Go!
by Dr. Seuss

Congratulations!
Today is your day.
You're off to Great Places!
You're off and away!

You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself any direction you choose.
You're on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the guy who'll decide where to go.

Vancouver, Expose Your Red Band

Are you single and looking and sick and tired of finding the wrong mate in the wrong place? Blenz Coffee, located all over British Columbia, is taking the plunge to help you find your soul mate, over coffee.

Ladies and Gents, get off of your online dating sites and try something new during the month of February! This year Blenz will be acting as Cupid and trying something that has never been done. They are giving Vancouver singles another channel to meet other singles with the “Blenz Red Band,” a customized java jacket (sleeve) they created. If you are single (and ready to mingle) you can slip this red sleeve onto your coffee cup and encourage other singles to approach you. Also, feel free to talk to others you see with this red band.

Indian Head Massage

Have you heard of an Indian Head Massage before? I haden't until I met Tania from Giving Within Holistic Healing. My first thoughts were, "Anything with the word massage in it cannot be bad!" I was right!

Another name for Indian Head Massage is Champissage. In an Indian Head Massage, the head, neck and face are massaged with the purpose of manipulating energy channels. The goal is to unblock these energy channels that cause an accumulation of negative energy that are prone to cause these conditions. It is believed that when the energy does not flow properly, negative energy builds up, causing common disorders, such as: stress, pain and nociception pains and aches, and baldness or hair loss. Indian Head Massage is practiced all over Europe and North America. There are only a few practitioners in Vancouver, Tania from Giving Within Holistic Healing, being one of them.
